Driving to Visby

Today we decided to go to the lovely Hanseatic town of Visby, with its medieval town wall in limestone still standing. It's a very special feeling to walk on its cobble-stoned alleys realizing people have done the same for at least 800 years.

Whats really amazing is that there is several church and monastery ruins in the old town. They were destroyed in a pillaging by the Lübecker in the 1520. And due to the reformation the cathtolic buildings weren't built up again.
